Twilight Love
Love is devotion. Love is the greatest power of existence. Love gives hope. Love makes life beautiful.
In the twilight of life, the bodies become frail but love makes bonds stronger. Love is all about caring and care lets souls be bonded to each other till eternity.
This is a beautiful story of an elderly couple. At 74, the lady suffers from peripheral neuropathy, a condition of the nerves that makes the limbs weak. With restricted hand movements, she finds it difficult to do her daily little chores but she isn't flustered a bit because her man is around her all the time, helping her in every small thing - he helps her dress up, holds her when she stands and brings her what she wants notwithstanding his own dementia at 79. ❤️ "He doesn't tie my hair properly" she tells her son and daughter in law so she calls them to tie her hair.
He, on the other hand, barely remembers names. He has lost orientation to dates and years but his weak memory doesn't deter him because he knows that she is always there to remind him the forgotten names and words. She never forgets to give him his medicines precisely on time . His calculations are impaired & memory faded but she is his brain.
The thing that brings strength to her arms and sharpness to his mind is their unfaltering love for each other and their family. Their family gives them strength and their love for each other gives them hope, happiness and the will to tide over their failing health.
So, the happy times don't cease whether they spend it with their grand children or talking on the phone with their daughters.
There's a lesson that the adorable elderly couple teaches us - love and togetherness can help tide over the grimmest of situations. Caring is powerful.
Love is care. Love is about giving a shoulder and a lot of hope. Love is about standing together till eternity. Love is about giving confidence. Love is adoration and worship. Love is about giving strength to each others' weaknesses.
Love indeed is devotion.❤️

DeleteVery beautifully summed up about love. What begins as romance, grows as trust, ends with companionship and care... Yes, that is love.
